The Declaration of the emergency state renewed until January 30th

By Decree of the President of the Republic No. 6-B / 2021, of 13 January, the declaration of the state of emergency was modified and renewed, which will remain in effect until 11:59 pm on 30 January 2021.

Decree nº 3-A / 2021, of 14 January, regulates, for the continental territory, the modification and extension of the state of emergency effected by Decree of the President of the Republic nº 6-B / 2021, of 13 January, being highlight the following:

In accordance with the provisions of Article 4 – General duty of home collection:

“1 – Citizens cannot travel on public spaces and roads, as well as on private spaces and roads equivalent to public roads, and must remain in their respective homes, except for trips authorized by this decree.

2 – For the purposes of the preceding paragraph, authorized travel is considered to be those aimed at:

(…)

j) Outdoor physical and sporting activity, under the terms of article 34;

(…)”

According to Article 34 – Physical and sports activity:

“1 – Only physical activity and the training of individual outdoor sports are allowed, as well as all professional and equivalent training and competitive activities, without an audience and in compliance with DGS guidelines.

2 – For the purposes of this decree, the activities of high-performance athletes, national teams of the Olympic and Paralympic modalities, of the 1st national division or corresponding competitive level competition of all modalities of the echelon groups are equated with professional activities. senior men and women, those who participate in international championships the activity of accompanying these athletes in adapted sports, as well as their technical and refereeing teams.

3 – Sports facilities in operation are governed by the provisions of paragraph 4 of article 20, with the necessary adaptations. ”

As golf is an individual sport practiced outdoors, its practice will be admitted. It should be noted, however, that only professional or similar competitive activities will be admitted (see paragraph 2 of article 34), without an audience and in compliance with DGS guidelines.

The following guidelines from the Directory-General for Health should be considered:

Guideline No. 030/2020, updated on 20 July, on “Spaces for the Practice of Physical Exercise and Sport, and Sports Competitions for Individual Non-Contact Modalities”;

Guideline No. 036/2020, updated on 4 September, on “Sport and Sports Competitions”;

and Guideline No. 014/2020, of 21 March, on “Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces in public service establishments or similar”.

Guideline No. 030/2020, updated on 20 July, on “Spaces for the Practice of Physical Exercise and Sport, and Sports Competitions for Individual Non-Contact Modalities”;

Guideline No. 036/2020, updated on 4 September, on “Sport and Sports Competitions”;

and Guideline No. 014/2020, of 21 March, on “Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces in public service establishments or similar”.

The duty of staying at home should guide the new period of containment we now enter, for the sake of everyone’s health and life, each of whom must respect what is the rule and not seek exceptions for their individual benefit.
